About GBMC (Global Business & Management Consulting)

Who we are ?

A small business consulting company, GBMC provides very personal, customer oriented, high quality business consulting services. We value theory but our global business consultants or interim managers are practitioners at heart: you will get practical solutions to real issues. Senior Management Consultant, Founder and CEO, Philippe Huysveld, started his extensive Business Development career in Japan in 1995, when joining the Belgian Electronics group BARCO’s new office in Tokyo.

Using his double engineering and business background acquired in Brussels, he developped his Technical B2B Sales & Marketing techniques in the very competitive & demanding Japanese domestic market, where service requirement levels are the highest worldwide.

After a very successful start in Japan, Philippe went back to Europe in 1998 in order to join PANASONIC’s European HQs in London, as European Marketing Manager for a wide range of Professional Products (Broadcast, CCTV, Professional Audio & Video, Display, Plasma screens, Airconditioning & Medical). There, he acquired skills in Strategical Marketing, European Policy Making & Coordination as well as Business Planning.

In 2002, he joined a Japanese parts manufacturer and worked at the London office as European General Manager responsible for the European Mobile Phone and Automotive Market development. Taking care of EMEA territory and manufacturing customers, this has been an  exceptional opportunity to cover these two large Industries in Europe.

In 2005, Philippe moved to Paris for the same parts supplier as Managing Director & President for the European Semiconductor Business. There, he set up from scratch and ran the new European office for 5 years, being the bridge between the HQ in Japan and its European customers, as he is multilingual (6 languages, including Japanese).

Finally, Philippe Huysveld:

– is a graduate of Brussels University (Engineering)

– holds a Master in Foreign Trade (Brussels) as well as a MBA from Kyoto University (Japan)

– has specialised training in Transition Management and Public Relations

– is a (Independent) Japan Expert registered with the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation:

How do we work ?

Our international business consultants or strategy consultants or japan consultants meet with you to assess your situation, your needs and your goals. We then create a customised plan for every client, from a single individual to a full organisational team. At the core of the action plan is your agenda, not ours. We are based in France but we cover Europe & Japan and can work with you in French, English and Japanese.
We do not believe in taking business solutions off the shelf and know that a customised approach is needed to succeed. One of our business consultants is designated as the contact person on every assignment. When other specialised skills are needed, we will access the required skill sets and source the best for you. Last but not least, we commit to deliver results on the mutually agreed goals and plan.

Why choose us ?

Thanks to our Free Trial offer and our Industry Leading Guarantee, we put our clients at ease and offer them an immediate start for their project. This feeling is reinforced by our customised approach & follow up as well as by the back up of the Von Essen consulting group. We are confident that GBMC will, within the limits of its previously defined domains of expertise and business, fulfill your needs and provide the quality of service, which you expect and deserve.
